Runs 10am - 4pm. Besides Knob Throwing there will be additional fun knob attractions including Knob Painting, a Knob & Spoon Race, Guess the weight of the Big Knob, Knob Darts and a Knob Pyramid. One of the best festivals in the country for families with young children, Bestival's sister festival - Camp Bestival - returns in 2010 from Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August, the first week of the school summer holidays, at the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, set against the backdrop of England's dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset.

Purbeck Folk Festival is a family friendly event set in the Purbeck Hills, in Dorset and happening from Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th September 2010. The festival's usal home, Steeple Leaze Farm, is not available to the festival in 2010, and a new home is being sought.

The festival also features dance displays, concerts, crafts, workshops, children's activities, trade stands, and sessions. Many events are free including street processions and dance displays. The Venue: The festival is taking place in the 13-acre historic gardens of Deans Court, a two-minute walk from the Minster. Inhabited for over 1200 years, the site has been the seat of the Hanham Family since the 16th century. The first domestic house was built in the 14th century on the site of a Saxon Monastery. Some Renaissance heraldic stained glass still survives in the main hall, but the house was remodelled in 1725, possibly by the Bastard brothers (who rebuilt Blandford Forum in the 1730s).

We Are Your Friends presents The Block Party a multi-venue metropolitan festival taking place over six venues in Lansdowne, in Bournemouth, Dorset on Saturday 1st May (May Bank Holiday Weekend). The Block Party is a 12 hour one day event, from 5pm to 5am, featuring of over 50 DJs, acts, and interactive events for up to 2,600 people. Expect a host of other party antics including the tiny Silent Disco, Cool Kids Karaoke, pop-up art parties, interactive crafts, street performers, buskers, stalls and graffiti walls.
